Thomas Heatherwick is one of the UK’s most prolific designers, whose varied work over two decades is characterised by its originality, inventiveness and humanity. Defying conventional classifications, Heatherwick founded his studio in 1994 to bring together architecture, urban planning, product design and interiors into a single creative workspace.

Thomas Heatherwick's Extrusions take an industrial production technique to make fluidly sculptural furniture, squeezing aluminium in to a series of beautiful sections cut by dramatic, twisted breaks in the otherwise perfect form.
The publication's cover has the furniture's 'seat' section die-cut revealing a close-up photograph of the metal printed on the inside covers.
