Warhol/Icon: The Creation of Image at the Byzantine and Christian Museum, Athens, sought to explore Andy Warhol's fascination with Byzantine icons and the influence they had on portraiture in his work.
The identity for the exhibition married an early Warhol illustration with bespoke typography derived from characters found on icons held in the collection of the museum. The book cover foil-stamps this type in gold on a rich red stock. A dust-jacket reproduces the illustration.
